"Bakawan", the book co-authored by Cathy Untalan, Reena Rae Sarmiento and Mae Astrid Tobias and illustrated by the talented Van Zeus Allen Bascon, was launched today.

Ambassadress for Ronald McDonald House of Charities (RMHC), Cindy Yang, delivered the welcome address. Showing support for the event were RMHC' board members Melon Salazar, Bing Banchoco and Liezel Maralag.

The kids from RMHC's Bahay Bulilit had an enjoyable day listening to the storytelling by Karla Paula Henry, Ms. Earth 2008, the song-and-dance number led by Reena Rae Sarmiento, Karla Henry and Cathy Untalan and the antics of Ronald McDonald.

Emcee Ms. Philippines - Air 2008 Marie Razel Eguia was supported by Ms. Philippines - Fire Ma. Kristelle Lazaro. Ginger Conejero, another Ms. Earth beauty covered the event for ABS-CBN. There was another Ms. Earth beauty (photo # 7) who is now a municipal councilor of Hagonoy, Bulacan, who came and lent support to the event -- the good reporter that I am, I failed to get her name! :P
